Permanent Employment

We place staff in medical offices, clinics, professional regulatory bodies and medical corporations throughout the Lower Mainland. We handle the staffing for many specialist practices including cosmetic and plastic surgery offices. We have a reputation for professionalism and for placing superior staff. Medi-Office Services Inc. specialises in the placement of medical office staff. We know the field. We know the salary ranges. We’re experienced, having been in business for over ten years.  We’re discreet. If you’re currently employed in a medical office and wishing to make a move, you need to know that confidentiality will be observed.

There are no fees to use Medi-Office Services. We’re registered with the Province of British Columbia under the Employment Standards Act. There are no fees for job seekers.

We can help with compensation package negotiations. Some of the employment packages that we have negotiated have included: extended health, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, four weeks’ vacation (or more), RRSP contribution, parking or transit allowance and profit sharing.

How to register

The first step in registering with Medi-Office Services is to submit a resume via e-mail in an MS Word format as an attachment. Please note that we only accept resumes via e-mail. Do not fax or send a resume via regular mail. It will not be considered. Please note that we cannot acknowledge receipt of resumes, due to the high volume that we receive.

What does Medi-Office Services look for in a successful candidate?

We require a professional presentation and good communication skills, both written and verbal.  A certificate in medical office administration is an asset but we will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Medical terminology is a must. Excellent computer skills are necessary and include competence with MS Word, an e-mail program and at least one medical billing package. Other useful programs include: Excel, PowerPoint and QuickBooks. Experience with appointment scheduling on computer is also valuable.

You must have experience working in the medical field. Due to the senior level of skills required for most of our permanent placements, it is essential to have several years of experience working in a medical office.

We will review your resume and if we see a match with a current opening or an upcoming one, we will contact you for a telephone interview. If appropriate, we will schedule a personal interview. References are always checked.

We generally keep resumes on file for a period of three months.

As positions are listed with us by clients, they are posted on the Medi-Office job board, on this web site. You are invited to check the listings to see if there is a particular position that interests you. You can e-mail us to advise us which jobs are of interest to you.  We reserve the right to determine which applicants we submit to clients as candidates. A major part of our success is our ability to match candidates with just the right position.

Temporary Employment

If you are interested in working as a “temp” with Medi-Office Services, please submit your resume as above. We look for the same level of experience in our temps as in our permanent candidates.  You should be aware that Medi-Office Services Inc. is not an employer and we do not run a payroll. You are employed by the physicians, whose offices you work in.

Temporary work can be as short as a day or two or as long as a year for maternity relief.

Those best suited to temporary work are flexible individuals who enjoy the challenge of working in different practices and offices.
